VOC

VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compounds. Organic compounds are described as volatile if they evaporate quickly due to a very low boiling point or very high vapour pressure. Even at low temperatures, VOCs can escape as gases. Examples are hydrocarbons, alcohols, aldehydes and organic acids. In larger quantities, VOCs can be harmful to human health in various ways. In order to keep the emission of VOCs low, RAMPF therefore relies on the use of low-emission materials. For example, low-emission sealing foams are used in the interior of automobiles.
