Rigid foam modeling for automotive applications

Modeling is the production of a physical, three-dimensional object. A model can serve as a pattern for producing a negative mold or as a true-to-scale representation of a real object. Modeling in the automotive industry primarily involves the production of styling, design, master, cubing, and data control models. To meet the high quality standards required of these models, rigid foams are normally used in the form of board materials because they provide the necessary quality.
