Ground-breaking ceremony for the extension of RAMPF
The foundations have been laid for growth at RAMPF Dosiertechnik. Less than a month after the conclusion of the construction contracts between RAMPF and Goldbeck, the ground-breaking ceremony for the extension of RAMPF Dosiertechnik GmbH & Co. KG's plant in Zimmern o.R. took place at 4.30 p.m. on a beautiful, sunny afternoon on 28 September 2011. "It takes courage to expand a plant in times like these, but we, as a medium-sized company, have what it takes. We have every confidence in our employees and in the continued success of our products," explained Matthias Rampf, CEO RAMPF Holding, to the assembled workforce of RAMPF Dosiertechnik and high-ranking guests from the municipality of Zimmern o.R. and district of Rottweil. With 2,200 system solutions on the market worldwide, RAMPF Dosiertechnik is one of the leading manufacturers of low-pressure mixing and dispensing systems for processing one, two, and multi-component reactive resins. Part of the international RAMPF Group since 2003, the ace up the sleeve of RAMPF Dosiertechnik is its broad-ranging product portfolio. This stretches from simple manual systems all the way through to fully automated production plants. RAMPF Dosiertechnik has carved out an outstanding name for itself on an international stage. With a global service network and numerous branches in France, Spain, Eastern Europe, the NAFTA countries, Brazil, China and Korea, the company has a strong international presence.

With the 15th ground-breaking ceremony in the 30-year history of the company, the RAMPF Group – an innovative equipment manufacturer that serves customers in the automotive, electrical, household appliance and filter industries – is investing in a new building. "As RAMPF Dosiertechnik has been 'bursting at the seams' for some time now and its order books look healthy right through to the next financial year, we decided the time was right to build plant II," explained Matthias Rampf with regard to the new construction project, which is moving ahead briskly with every day that passes. The new building, which is scheduled for completion by the end of March 2012, will create a useful area of around 4,200 m². It will provide space for a new logistics and service centre, additional application engineering activities and a specialised contract manufacturing facility. "This will enable future growth, secure existing jobs and create new ones. In the last few months, we have increased our headcount by more than 10 percent," said a delighted Bernd Faller, Managing Director of RAMPF Dosiertechnik. The medium-sized company based in Zimmern o.R. currently employs 107 staff in construction, engineering, consulting and sales. The mayor of the municipality of Zimmern o.R. was also delighted by the decision to expand the plant, which is part of the IN•KOM Südwest industrial and business park and represents an investment volume of around EUR 3 million. "As mayor, I welcome the good cooperation with RAMPF, which is also characterised by considerable trust and close cooperation and ties with other companies based here", said Emil Maser, Mayor of the municipality of Zimmern o.R., to the members of management and staff of RAMPF Dosiertechnik and other IN•KOM companies at the ground-breaking ceremony. The purchase contract for the land, which covers around 10,000 m², was signed in July 2011. Thanks to the close cooperation with the municipality of Zimmern o.R., planning approval to build plant II was granted in record time. As with the construction of the RAMPF Group's Innovation Centre at its Grafenberg site, where sister companies RAMPF Giessharze and RAMPF Tooling are based, RAMPF is placing great value on energy efficiency and sustainability through the use of renewable energies. The new hall is to be heated using geothermal energy and the roof of the new building is to be equipped with a 108 kWp photovoltaic system. "The self-sufficient hall is a real feat of engineering," explained Alexander Kraus from Goldbeck, the general contractor responsible for the build. Based on the healthy order books and excellent development of the RAMPF Group, there is a good chance it won't be long before we see the next ground-breaking ceremony.
