Bondexpo 2010: RAMPF celebrates successful presentation

Nothing less than a red carpet the RAMPF Group had rolled out at its booth for visitors of the Bondexpo 2010. Every day about 250 interested people came directly to the fair highlight. The dispensing cell DC-CNC with an integrated induction generator bonded components with a structural one-component polyurethane adhesive in seconds.

RAMPF convinced with system solutions at the Bondexpo 2010.

„Bonding at the push of a button“ – that is what RAMPF was showcasing at the Bondexpo 2010. The official picture emphasized it.

Dispensing system for all purposes and various applications RAMPF Dosiertechnik presents its compact low-pressure DC-CNC system with integrated induction device.

The M-KDS is ideal for applying minimum amounts of highly filled materials, as frequently occurs in the electronics industry.

With a clear concept and clear messages the booth of the RAMPF Group convinced at this year's Bondexpo 2010 in Stuttgart. Under the motto "bonding at the push of a button", the company presented a new system solution made by its members RAMPF Giessharze and RAMPF Dosiertechnik. The dispensing cell DC-CNC of RAMPF Dosiertechnik bonded plastic with metal by using induction. The material was provided by the partner company RAMPF Giessharze. The reactive resin, a one-component polyurethane adhesive, was specifically developed for such applications. "With our presentation we have addressed the trends of the trade fair. System solutions and services are in greater demand than ever. And we have an answer", says Michael Rampf, CEO of the RAMPF Group. Overall, 15 percent more visitors than the previous year saw the specialist for reactive resins and machine systems at the booth in Hall 7

Material can be processed after 4 seconds
At RAMPF the user decides when it is time for bonding. Therefore the developers have encapsulated the isocyanate of the 1K-adhesive. The adhesive reacts only under the application of induction heat. But that’s not all. The system with the brand name RAKU-PUR® 49-2452 cures at over 85 °C, can be dyed in different colors, offers high strength, odor neutrality, weather and moisture resistance and also extremely good filling and flow properties. Due to the encapsulation of the isocyanate the 1K-system sticks only at an induction temperature of 85 °C. It cures completely at 140 °C within four seconds and can be processed immediately. There is no need for curing in a warming oven. This saves the user time and money. Efficiency also brings the FIPG process. This allows the user to apply the material with no waste directly to the component. This is due to the minimum-piston dispensing system M-KDS of RAMPF Dosiertechnik, which is part of the dispensing cell. Through the two-chamber system always double of the amount of adhesive is avail-able.

For materials with various viscosities
The M-KDS concept makes the processing of the most diverse one and two-component materials possible with a broad spectrum of viscosity. The small quantities are intensively mixed by the dynamic process. This is a decisive advantage of the M-KDS. Moreover, the material is applied quickly and precisely. The shortest possible dispensing time is about 300 milliseconds. Due to volumetric dosing, continuous, viscosity-independent dispensing results are obtained. Sealing compounds with a viscosity between 20 mPa*s and 200,000 mPa*s can be processed with the M-KDS.

Simple and effective dispensing
Almost like bonding at the push of a button the dispensing cell DC-CNC functions. The compact machine design offers the operator a very flexible processing technology for polyurethanes, silicones and epoxys at small space. No matter what, if used as stand-alone machine with manual load and unload or integrated in automated product lines, the RAMPF cell convinces with its compact design and its easy processing. It is therefore equally suitable for beginners in the low-pressure technology as well as for experienced users. The DC-CNC can be equipped with all dynamic or static RAMPF-mixing systems. The new type of graphic user interphase provides all requirements for a modern process control due to process monitoring, recipe management and integrated test cycles. Personnel do not require any elaborate training.
