Innovative solutions for the marine industry

RAMPF Tooling presents new RAKU-TOOL® products at seatec 2009

Grafenberg – The seatec exhibition focuses on the entire supply chain for the marine industry. RAMPF Tooling used this platform to present new products from its Close Contour Paste range. As notable innovations the trade fair visitors were shown the epoxy paste RAKU-TOOL CP-6100 and the polyurethane paste RAKU-TOOL CP-6090.

The new epoxy paste RAKU-TOOL CP-6100 was shown at seatec for the first time.

The polyurethane paste CP-6090 does not slump on vertical surfaces.

This year’s seatec exhibition was an immediate success. RAMPF Tooling managed to hold the trade fair visitors’ interest through live demonstrations of its Close Contour Pastes. Together with the equipment manufacturer TARTLER, Lützelbach RAMPF Tooling was in a position to present a complete package solution which meant that the material and the corresponding machines were on display. Through the use of two different machine types the chemically different paste systems were clearly illustrated. Close Contour Pastes have the advantage that they are quick and easy to process.

For the first time RAMPF Tooling’s new epoxy paste RAKU-TOOL CP-6100 was on display. The paste features a very fine, homogeneous surface and does not slump on vertical sur-faces when applied in layers of up to 40 mm thickness. Processing shows that the paste is very easy to machine and creates little dust. Further key properties are the good surface hardness and the low coefficient of thermal expansion. The paste is mainly used for jigs and checking fixtures, data control models, tools and direct tooling in the marine industry. RAMPF Tooling’s polyurethane paste RAKU-TOOL CP-6090 has a low exothermic reaction but can already be machined after twelve hours room temperature cure. It also does nut slump on vertical surfaces but compared to the epoxy paste can only be applied in layers of 20 mm thickness. Its main applications are master models and molds.
