Bringing people together on the Red Couch at RAMPF
As we all know, our company boasts a whole lot of innovative people with interesting hobbies and pastimes. I'm delighted that the second of our internal ‘Red Couch’ events will give us a fascinating insight into two of these passions. Timo Marx will start us off today – he's always keen to gets things rolling,” said Michael Rampf, CEO of RAMPF Holding, greeting the 61 members of staff gathered in the RAMPF canteen at the Grafenberg site.
RAMPF to exhibit at two Indian trade fairs in 2012
India's demand for plastics will reach an estimated 2.5 million tonnes by 2015. The Indian automotive industry, which is growing year on year, also requires large volumes of strong materials for sealing, casting, bonding and shaping as well as the necessary machine technology. At ELECRAMA 2012 and PlastIndia 2012, two companies from the international RAMPF Group – RAMPF Giessharze and RAMPF Dosiertechnik – will be showcasing their product portfolio of reaction resins and associated machine systems, from liquid and thixotropic sealing foam to electro casting systems.
RAMPF uses the latest robot technology
"Rudi 2090" robot creates prototypes
The latest robot technology from KUKA is now being used for near-series prototyping in application engineering at RAMPF Giessharze, one of the leading manufacturers of two-component systems for sealing, casting, bonding and designing. Integrating the robot into RAMPF Dosiertechnik mixing and dispensing systems makes two-component systems even more dynamic, as the robot technology enables short cycle times and achieves pose repeatability of +/- 0.06 mm. The robot, dubbed "Rudi 2090" by RAMPF Giessharze, is from the Quantec robot series and features a control system that integrates not only motion, sequence and process control but also complete safety control. Adding the robot technology to its operations enables RAMPF Giessharze to respond even more effectively to customers' specific needs. Application engineering at RAMPF Dosiertechnik already uses a robot.
Two million boards produced by RAMPF Tooling
During October 2011 the two millionth board was produced at RAMPF Tooling. This is a further milestone in the success story of the RAMPF Group which meanwhile comprises five independent companies with a consolidated turnover of Euro 104.4 Mio and three overseas subsidiaries. The success story started with the market break-through of polyurethane boards and the set up of the first production line nearly 30 years ago. In 2006 RAMPF Tooling decided to enter the market directly and succeeded in becoming the largest board producer world-wide.
RAMPF Tooling: Basic training course for the plastics processing industry
From reactive resin to reactive molding material
Liquid systems and board materials for modeling and mold making were the focus of the basic training course from RAMPF Tooling held at the RAMPF innovation centre in Grafenberg on 14 and 15 September 2011. The world’s largest producer of board materials offered companies in the plastics processing industry the opportunity to take an in-depth theoretical and practical look at basic chemical and technical aspects of processing polyurethane and epoxy systems as well as standard build-up processes for models and mold making
